Testimony of Sister Josephine Roeder
I had testified to friends, relatives, and neighbors about the Lord, but not yet
in this church. I get cold feet when it comes to public speaking. My life growing up wasn't easy. I had trials and tribulations
but throughout all the hardships, Jesus has always been with me. He picks me up every time
I
fall.
God has wonderful ways of answering prayer. Long time ago, about
25-26 years, I ask him to send me a husband, someone who would be good influence
to my
soul's salvation, one who would stir my faith in the Lord. He did, and that's
how I got involved in a Pentecostal church by marrying a Pentecostal man. I had
been to different churches, Catholic most of my life, Nazarene church, and
Church of Christ,
searching. I prayed to the Lord to show me the truth, and He did. Psalm 25:5
reads, "Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: For thou art the God of my
salvation, on thee do I wait all the day." It became part of my prayer.
When I received the Holy Ghost last year, I started to feel like a new person. I
spoke in other tongue which for a long time I refused to believe. I even fall on
my back at that time and did not feel it, and did not get hurt. I was in the
seventh heaven feeling that time. Three months later, on Sunday, when the Pastor
called for people who needs anointing to come to the front, I went, not sick,
but just had a feeling that I
needed something from the Lord. Big, heavy teardrop fell from each of my eye,
which was unusual. Then first time I danced and laughed under the influence of
the Holy Ghost. I received exceeding joy in my heart. God knows what I needed
then for I was slightly felling down the previous day.
I thank Jesus for all He has done for me. I want to worship and praise Him all
my life and forever. He is forgiving and merciful God.
